Content Quality Index
Last Updated: January 2026
Introduction
Content Quality Index (“CQI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides tools that surface content quality signals for online video platforms, including YouTube. These tools are delivered through browser extensions, web-based services, and related applications.
Our services analyze publicly available content signals and retrieve Content Quality Index (CQI) results from our servers to display contextual information at the point of content consumption. We are committed to minimizing data collection and respecting user privacy.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, sell, or use personal information for advertising, marketing, or behavioral tracking.
Specifically, we do not:
-
Collect financial or payment information through CQI analysis features
-
Access private communications, private messages, or non-public videos
-
Track user viewing behavior across websites
-
Record keystrokes, mouse movements, or detailed browsing activity
-
Build personal profiles based on content consumption
We do not attempt to identify individual viewers based on the content they watch.
Information the Platform Accesses
To analyze content and display CQI signals, the platform accesses publicly available information associated with online videos and channels. This may include:
-
YouTube video IDs
-
YouTube channel IDs
-
Titles, descriptions, and other public metadata
This information is used solely to analyze content and retrieve the appropriate CQI results. It is not used to identify individual users.
Google Authentication and OAuth Access
Certain optional features—such as confirming YouTube channel ownership for a voluntary creator overlay—require authentication through Google OAuth.
When a user authenticates with Google:
-
We request read-only access to publicly available YouTube account information
-
Access is used only to confirm channel ownership and enable requested platform features
-
We do not modify, upload, delete, or manage YouTube content
-
We do not access private videos, private messages, or analytics beyond ownership confirmation
Content Quality Index does not collect or store Google account passwords. Authentication is handled by Google, and CQI receives limited authorization data necessary to provide the requested functionality.
How Information Is Used
Information accessed or received by CQI is used solely to:
-
Verify YouTube channel ownership when explicitly requested by the user
-
Enable voluntary creator-facing features such as content overlays
-
Retrieve and display CQI scores and contextual indicators
-
Operate, maintain, and secure the platform
We do not use Google user data or content data for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.
Data Protection and Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Google user data and other information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
All data transmitted between client applications and CQI servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access to internal systems is limited to authorized personnel and services required to operate the platform.
Google user data obtained through OAuth is used only in accordance with this privacy policy and Google’s Limited Use requirements.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain Google user data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this privacy policy.
Specifically:
-
Authentication tokens are retained only as long as needed to maintain authorized access
-
Public channel identifiers may be retained to associate CQI results with verified channels
-
Data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymized in accordance with our retention practices
Users may request deletion of their associated account data or revocation of access at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Upon verified request, we will delete or deactivate associated data unless retention is required by law or legitimate operational needs.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose Google user data or other user information to third parties.
We do not transfer data for advertising, marketing, or unrelated purposes.
Children’s Privacy
Content Quality Index services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Updates
This privacy policy applies to all Content Quality Index services, including browser extensions, web applications, and related tools. We may update this policy as the platform evolves or as required by law. Updates will be reflected on this page.
